Hi all figured I'd sign up here as I pick up my new bike on the 23rd of April!! After a year without a bike trying to decide what I wanted (test rode fireblade,panigale,r6,s1000rr,gsxr750) I took out the 848 evo and decided that was the bike for me. Previously had a cbr600rr which I got when I passed my test. Anyone else from around Norfolk/Suffolk way?
Welcome to the forum. I'm from Newmarket, Suffolk. You say you tried a Panigale (899?) why did you prefer the 848? I'm not saying that's the wrong decision, I'm just interested. Is your 848 evo new? Seastars had one last time I was in there. I would have been interested in an 848 evo or corse, but they were still asking too much for them last December.
Hi no I didn't try the 899 it was the 1199, the 899 wasn't out at the time. I did like it but the 848 just felt more useable for me, plus price was a big factor too! I did want the 2012 corse model but that's mainly because of the paint scheme, The one I've bought is just a 12 plate red evo from seastars, prices wise it was cheaper than most other dealers and it's got termis fitted already so I've saved on that front. I can't wait to pick it up!
