  1. Booked for Siverstone for Bank Holiday monday. Anyone got a view on tyres? Std tyres up to the job? I'm not fast so will the stock Pirelli's cope? I've bought some wets in case the weather is crap.
In addition, is it just me being thick or are there no instructions in the handbook about removing the wheels? Can't find torque settings either.

  2. stock tyres will be fine
just make sure pressures are set (ask the tyre guy at the track if your not sure) but usually 3-4 psi less and remember to warm your tyres for a lap or 2 before giving it full beans

    rear wheel nut 186nm
    front nut 63nm
pinch bolts 18nm (might be less on ohlins forks)
    caliper blots 25NM

ducati never put wheel change instructions in the manual, if you have never done it before, have someone show you, its not hard when u know how

    enjoy

  3. Ducati recommends 33psi front / 30psi rear for track use on the stock tires. You can go 1-2 lbs. lower than that if it's cold out, but I wouldn't go below 28 rear and 30 front.

  4. Thanks guys. So what's the deal about removing the wheels? Sounds basic but there is usually an order for the pinch bolts and the axle tightening.

  5. Axle nut, pinch bolts, calipers off, axle out and wheel off.

    Refit in reverse.

  6. No single sider either...makes changing wheels much more a pita

  7. Cerec, I am around on the Monday so may come along too. Will let you know if I am riding or just stopping my whilst road riding.
