748 Air Filter Quickie

  1. Hey peeps,

I need to get a couple of air filters for my 748. Looking on ebay the most common makes are Athena and Pipercross. Pipercross ones are twice as dear as the Athena ones.

Anyone know if the Pipercross ones are worth the extra?
    Any other recommendations?

    Cheers

  2. Pipercross are washable and reusable so work out cheaper in the long run, that is if you are keeping the bike for any length of time. I have them in my bike.

  3. someone may even have a set of used pipercross ones they no longer use! :upyeah:

  4. Now that would be handy if only he knew who that might be.

  5. Me. I have BMC now

  6. I've got the pipercross one that goes in the airbox on my 748s , I find it's a lot better than the ones in the airtubes

  8. Thanks all. Good guidance as usual. Sorted.

  9. Do you find any difference between the Pipercross one and the other there is (can't think of name) - my dealer said they were near £100 for one. Pipercross is £48 on eBay?

  10. Is it k&n , I haven't used any other but I found the standard ones in the airtubes weren't much good and I ended up changing the standard tubes for carbon fibre
