Cam covers

  1. I want to remove the cam covers and centre cover between the cams for painting. Can these just simply be removed without causing any problems with the cam positions? I'm worried that if I remove the covers the cams will drop on the ends. I would of thought that theres a bearing or shim behind the cover but dont want to chance it. Anyone know for sure.

  2. No worries - just whip em off. No bearings are housed in the covers.

  6. If its the end caps in Fig 1 they have bearings for the cams.(the one highlighted in red)
If its Fig 2 the cam covers are just that covers no bearings .
