Having just got a track bike, I'm in need of some tyre warmers. Having had parcels arrive for the last week to get everything together, Im running into the buffers of my wifes blind eye to the stuff coming through the door Does anyone have any old tyre warmers I could purchase for a reasonable price? Obviously working (!) and 240 Volts if poss. Many thanks Alistair
Ah yes but theres an element of money coming into it now....used should be cheaper than new and thus easier to justify 'So you bought a track bike and now need spare wheels?' 'Yep' 'And a new paddock stand?' 'Yep' etc etc
I have a set of these. Cant complain for a Oner Race-Tech Tyre Warmers £99.96 | eBay Get them posted to a mates house
those with the side draw cords are cheap and annoying .......plus you want the heating core to go across the full width of the tyre not just the centre....
Quite possibly...but I'd like to think that people were pretty honest here wouldn't you? Probably more chance of encountering a dodgy seller on Fleabay than via this wonderful forum?
elastic and radial electric weave rather than just round the centre bit..... there are sone HWW ones on ebay look good...
Thanks Andy. At that price I might just buy new. Feck it......its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission
We are hardly on the MotoGP grid. Race-Tech ones do me fine, I have my pulll strings trimmed so that there is not to much farting around.
At trackday level there is no such thing as crap tyre warmers. Yes you can crack on straight out of the blocks but for me minimising the heat cycles and prolonging tyre life was higher on the list.
said the man who was shouting at them there cords as they got caught up in his callipers in Valencia. I agree re the heat cycles but for a few quid more the HWW are leagues better...
Just got some of these bad boys on the way from Italy at a great price and 2 year warranty.... CarpiMoto - Thermal Technology Performance Motorcycle Tyre Warmers
