Yes the parts are located in the US. Most of these items can fit in a flat rate international box so shipping will not be super expensive.
I'm pretty sure that unless the item being sent is below £35 GBP or $60 in value, you have to pay UK VAT and import tax on top of the freight costs. I guess items could be sent as a gift, which should sort out the additional costs. My estimation for example on the 1198 Showa forks based on $300 would be - £237 plus freight costs. Still sounds like a good price to me for a pair of forks but I guess a huge amount of trust needed for any potential buyer.
I like the look of the rearsets, Although a brand new boxed set of these recently sold on Ebay UK for £212 delivered. Yours would work out at £355 + freight. I'm assuming these are ones you have for sale?
Yes if it is sent as a gift you will save on the taxes. Yes it takes a level of trust but doesn't all these forum transactiongs. I guess it is what it is.
I totally agree with there always being an element of trust, but I guess if you buy from someone in the same country as you are based, you have their address etc... And for what ever reason that alone makes most feel a little more confident to buy in this sort of manner.
Very true, well I'm shipping out parts on Friday that I sold in the other thread so if your interested in the rearset they will be shipped on Friday with the other parts.
Sorry 'data' after spotting the same thing selling on Ebay for £212 brand new, I think I'll pass this time.
Excellent. Can you give us a full list of what is left? If its easier, start a new thread and i'll lock this one down
