Not so much a technical question, but any help would be appreciated. I have read somewhere there is a way of finding out how many of a particular make and model of bike was imported into the UK and secondly which also interests me is how many are still registered on the road ??? Thanks
It might not be so bad for recent registrations, but there didn't used to be much (if any) validation of the vehicle registration data. For example: CAGIVA 900 ELEFANT - How Many Left? (Referenced by MCN: Cagiva Elefant 900 - less than 30 left - General News | Motorcycle News | Bike News | Motorbike Videos | MCN ) Only 17 left? Rubbish, I know of more than that. And it certainly doesn't include mine, because there are no registrations for the year mine was registered. I guess mine is one of the 'missing': CAGIVA Missing - How Many Left?
Thanks Daffy, that's the one I was looking for.....looking at it I tend to agree with the comments above, it looks like it gives a ball park figure.
