Hi I own a 1989 750s It has standard 16" wheels. I want to upgrade to 17" and I want to fit modern Brembo calipers... Can anyone help me please?
I don't know much about the 89 750s.........in fact, I know nuthin'.................but possibly the quickest and cheapest way is to get some forks, calipers and wheels from a later SS that is being broken........that's my only thought, but I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong..... AL
Thanks for this.. Cant I just upgrade the calipers to Brembo 4 pots with minimal work... I know I will need to upgrade the master cylider....is there not a bracket avaliable to do this?
No idea Tony.......You need someone who knows more than me about what's available and what will fit.......... I mean, my calipers are Brembo 4 Pot as the standard fitment to the carbed SSsss.........as to whether they can succesfully be hung on your forks or on adapator plates, I wouldn't know.......... ........but adapter plates can be made for most combinations........I did the Cad drawings for adaptor plates for someone who wanted Brembo race calipers on Ceriani forks for his Duke, but personally I wouldn't have used them because I reckon the actual position of the caliper in relation to the mounting lugs could exert enough pressure to rip the lugs off.
