Hi chaps I picked my Panigale 1199 up yesterday from down South private sale Rode back up the M25 M1 M6 a pain in the arse considering it was so hot & my new leathers were still tight ! Made a little better by popping into Jhp Coventry & looking at the bits I can't afford ! Lol Anyways I'd not even ridden a Panigale before I bought it !!! And I'm quite surprised how not like any other Ducati I've had & I've had 5 ! And absolutely nothing like my 1098s It feels more like a iL4 & not much like a V twin ??? Don't get me wrong, I went to the outskirts of Wales this morning & in between the rain showers & on the sauce in road & race Modes it's got that raw edge that I like about Ducati's I think it tracks really nice not as skitty As previous ducati's I've owned. And I think a really refined new bike From Ducati. Just need a new seat because my arse is numb !!! I'll let you know how it go's......
Know what you mean about the seat, changed it for the comfort one. Gives you around an hour more before it starts to hurt
I agree the 1098s is just Raw ! & I really enjoyed my 996 at the island for 2 years on the trot but I just got fed up of being battered by jap thous down the mountain mile !!! Wish I'd still got the M reg 916 Strada 1 of the first ! The 999 (05) was a good bike.
I did 420 to assen a few weeks back and found it pretty comfortable. ..did have the dp race seat on which is miles better...non slippy. .better riding position as well..I do around 7k a year so needs to be bearable
Did the same with the comfort seat fitted. Legs stared to ache after a few hours but that's probably as I'm 6'1" so nothing to do with the seat but lanky legs!!
