The recess ones are not magnesium is my understanding. Plus I also understand there are 2 non recessed magnesium wheel types. Road versions which have bracing within the hollow of the spokes and race which do not.
I have a set on my 916 but theyre mine i tell ya, mine..... Besides theyre not 100% perfect. Some slight pitting on rim. But theyve been xrayed, painted and checked etc.

No not at all, I'm pleased for you, that was a bargain and who doesn't love one of those. I have seen them in the gold but the bike I am trying to looky likey had grey wheels, which the current black ones were when new and for some unknown reason got changed to black. I'm looking at £700 to have the current pair properly stripped, chromated, primed and painted, but I suppose I will know I have a good pair then.
