I know this is perhaps the wrong forum, but I'm asking just on the off chance just in case any of you might have one sitting in your shed. I need a good engine for a CBR1000RR 2004 in nice condition if possible. I bought a blade for a track toy earlier in the year, low mileage and looked pretty good to me. The seller seemed like a decent chap so I trusted him. Before I went riding it I thought I would get the suspension serviced and setup by MCT which they did, and noticed a couple of other things wrong. So I took it to the garage to get the 'other' things sorted and I thought it would be good to have a daytime MOT so they did that too. When they test rode they said it was knocking and needed a new engine. I didnt believe them so took it to BSD who have now confirmed it does need a new engine (or that'll be the cheaper option). 6500 miles! My arse or if it is its an abused 6500 miles.
Ebay bargain, oh, hang on....... Not really sure why they test rode, perhaps they just fancied a ride out?? Good job they did though hey!
