Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Sharpy_G, Jul 16, 2012.

  1. Has anyone ever removed the threaded rear axel end stops on one of these and if so, how please ?
They look like they are a snap off fit

    Cheers
    Graham

  2. Graham, thay are fitted using a shear-head screw.

You can try drilling out if needed. I take it you want to get the spindle further back?

  3. S'thing like that :upyeah:

  4. What do they do differently to the standard spindle plates?

Do they adjust the chain, rather than using the hex head screws?

  5. Very pretty! Ow much did they set ya back??

  6. Oh yes indeedy ! :)

  7. right outta the Bologna Corse factory race team treasures

a very small price for a little more exclusivity ;)

  8. If I can measure those Graham, I can probably remake them.

I have just made a set of the original type.

  9. you cant polish a turd........

but you can roll it in glitter..................:upyeah:

  10. i saw the picture and thought............hes doing it to lengthen the swingarm and wheelbase to make it handle better...............oh no its because they have pretty numbers on.........

  11. Hmmm I would suggest Mr Hackett may disagree with your analogy of the 749R ;)

  12. Or maybe both ;)

Track day bodywork also on its way ;)

  13. Come to Almeria in October then...............

  14. hmmmmmm, just remind me of its success nationally or on the worlds stage then....

and you hadnt even thoughtt about it from a wheel base point of view i know.........you just went all guey when you saw the numbers.....that relate to a 999rs
