Ducati 748 Biposto 1997 in mint condition ££££’s spent Rare Iconic super sports bike If you are looking for a mint condition iconic bike then look no further I’m reluctantly letting this bike go as I have bought too many toys recently and I do not get to ride as much as it deserves. So the bike.. it has done 18K miles and has 12 months MOT and Taxed until October, I have many old MOT’s and service records, the Cam belts were changed in October 2013 and has done 500 Miles since then. I have just serviced the bike and will MOT on sale so that you have a full 12 months. The Tyres, and Brake Pads have just been replaced, the discs, chain and sprockets are in excellent condition, all the fluids have just been replaced during the service with premium Silkolene products. I have fitted the following extras/upgrades in the last 6 months: Repainted lower fairings and tank to remove stone chips Dynojet Power commander III – Including the box, USB cables instructions and Disc of maps/software. Spare set of Brembo Ducati Racing wheels for use on the track, they have just been repainted and ideal for using with set of track tyres. Ducati Bar ends LED rear light, Remus carbon fire road legal performance end cans. (The sound makes you smile for every mile..) Ducati performance Seat cowl, I also include the pillion seat Alloy frame plugs, Reservoir caps and a set pre load adjusters All the bolts have been replaced with 316 Stainless steel bolts/capscrews. Wow - I've had my 748 Biposto for 6 years now, and no-one's ever called it rare or iconic. I've called it a few names though, usually after getting off it when my bones ache......
That is a Ducati performance pillion seat cowl, now long since deleted from the Ducati catalogue. I had two of these and they are very thin and not that good, the original cost was a staggering £127 at the time. I made a mould of one of these cowls and have made and sold several to members of the both the old and current Ducati forums. Here's my effort and the last photo is one from the catalogue as it was, the photos are of the last one that I sold to a member on here, it is matt in appearance as it was sold with the cowl flatted ready for final lacquering and or having any decals added prior to finish.
I have one that has been moulded and just needs etch priming and the fixings made up which require machining. If you are interested send me a PM.
