Thought I would post a thankyou on here for service from the fine people at W.M.Snell. I took my privately bought Panigale 1199s to Snell Performance after an issue that developed on my trip to the Isle of Man. As was expected I ended up with a rather large parts bill that I was hoping Ducati would foot despite being just out of warranty. Ducati deny a factory fault and say the only way this could have happened is if the previous owner had replaced the parts improperly. I've no way of proving this didn't happen and without going into details I can somewhat understand their logic despite not being too happy about Ducatis attitude. Whilst not successful in getting Ducati to pay for the parts, Tom did a sterling job of representing me and gave possibly the best customer service in terms of keeping me in the loop that I have experienced. They also charged a minimal amount for labour when a less scrupulous company could have really milked the situation. Further to that i joined Snells at the Ducati organised trackday at Silverstone and I lost a coilpack on my second lap. Snells along with Ducati sourced a replacement from one of Ducatis bikes which they gave to me for free under warranty. As a little sweetener after all that has happened Ducati are also going to try and sort out some VIP treatment when we ride the bikes through Europe and visit the factory in September So thank you to Snells for some great service and also to Ducati for restoring my faith to some extent (despite being a little less well off!). Everyone knows that you pay a little more when going to a main dealer but I can honestly say that the personal service and honesty that I have received from Snells makes them worth every penny. I'll certainly be heading to their door in the future.
Agree there, got my 848 from them in March i dealt with Tom and i think it was Dave. First time i have ever got a bike from a dealer, i didn't get there until late on a Friday and was not rushed in anyway and left an hour after closing time
Always been great, got one of these from them when I was 16. Some time has passed since but they are much the same as they always were, the little DT was great F775 OOT.
I have enjoyed the treatment at Snellls, always pleased to see me, always offer a coffee. All of the guys there that I have met are extremely pleasant and helpful. Much the same as CW in Dorchester. There are other dealers that could learn a lot from these beacons of excellence.
