Led Lights From The 1200 Gt?

  1. Ordered - thank you. Wouldnt want to offend my eyes or those of others we a nasty yellow/blue combo. Mainly I got the LED spots to be more visible rather than see better but seeing better will be nice too, especially when I've got the lights/suspension setup properly.

  2. Now either I've done something wrong (but can't see how!) or there's a design flaw with the GT light brackets, or at least when retro fitted to a 2010 bike anyway......

....you can't get the radiator cap off with the right-hand light bracket in place! (cap partially undone in photo.....but needs a further quarter turn before it can be removed!)

  3. Interesting. I dropped Mutley off at Rosso Corse this evening and one of the jobs is the LED spots, so let's see if mine has the same thing.

  4. I tried fitting the SW Motech brackets to my 2010 S Touring but they soon caused the rad to crack! Opted for the Touratech spots/fogs mounted at headlight height - work a treat? That and all the H11 bulbs replaced with HIDs means I'm projecting daylight!

LED spots mounted on crash bars - both from Ducati. HID bulbs too. So bright now that I may inadvertently cause myself to get hit due to their retinas ceasing to function the moment they look at me :-D

  6. Jimbo....Rad cap? ;-)

  7. Erm - I've had a look and can't find it (embarrassing)

  8. It's on the radiator! lol...............

Remove the small carbon (S) or black plastic (T) deflector panel (2 Allen screws and jiggle off locating slots) and you'll see the radiator cap down inside the side fairing panel ;-)

  9. On the RHS yes?

    Best I could manage :(

  11. Thanks..........what I'm trying to establish is whether anyone else has the same issue as me i.e. whether the radiator cap can be fully undone/removed once the GT light brackets are fitted......does the radiator cap 'grip' (green arrow) clear the light bracket (red arrow) on undoing?
Not sure if the cap is easy to access with the fairings on.........don't worry if not ;-)
