Hy guys as title says I'm looking for a chip / eprom for my new bike,I currently have a dp chip in it but it really is horrible. I have the 50mm Termi carbon half system on the bike. I'm not sure if its the um216 or um241 ,,but you might know better thanks!
I find the bike very arkward on take offs from traffic lights,it just has no torque whatsoever below 4000rpm,when I blip the throttle it sounds way too rich and there is not much response.I had a 748 bip before so its not that I don't know dukes,and I'm not expecting this to act like the standard 748 bip but could do with some improvement How is that JHP chip? I don't know them at all.what sort of money are you looking for?
dyno and custom map - either PCIII or ECU. Chips...................................stick em in the microwave for 30 seconds and watch them fizzle.
that is the plan after refreshing the engine/porting the heads,but in the meantime I thought I give it a try and see how it goes
My 748R has a 996sps 50mm systemand runs on a DP performance chip for the 50mm half system. The fuel/air ratio had a minor adjustment made but it runs really well. Andy
Your only real chance of getting the most out of it is to get it custom mapped by someone like CJS. He is very busy now, but there really is no substitute. My 748R engined 748S really was worth every penny to have it set up and it is a fraction of a BHP down on a pukka stock 748R with 54mm injectors. A chip will never fill in the "gaps" in the overall setup, your bike could be transformed beyond what you might imagine but make sure you do all modifications before getting it fully set up.
