the status quo then.. quite happy with my performance to day it seems like i have an answer to everfink :Finger:
First it was Queen, now its Quo. If he mentions Alvin Stardust then I will have him nicely pigeon holed. That is not a euphemism.
It could be something simple like the dreaded Canadian Pharmacy who seem to have everyone's number. The country with the largest cold callers and scammers that indulge in phone scams is Canada! and the largest part of the population taking part is Asians from places like India! Surprising but true. I get calls irregularly but if their call registers then I just block it from any future calls. If I don't recognise the number I just answer and listen for any background noises, lots of background chatting sees the call disconnected by me. If I hear nothing I just ask them who they are. If all that fails and I happen to get them on the "hook" I tell them that the person they want is deceased after a shoot out in a gunfight with the police!!!! they don't persevere after that, not surprisingly.
Paranoid bunch you lot are. Truth is your details will be out there no matter what. Some places you have to give them like bank, Electric company or such. They will also sell it on or have a "breach of security". Using common sense is enough. Second mail when you register for stuff online, strong passwords (not same for each account), do not disclose there your mobile or adress and job a good one. Also when hunting for insurance and such I give my pay as you go mobile.
