Laguna Spoiler

  1. Looking at the warm up times we are in for a very close race :upyeah:

    My prediction..

    1 Lorenzo
    2 Pedrosa
    3 Spies

Stoner will fade again but will lead for a few laps until his tyres go off.

  2. Not really a spoiler, unless you have a time machine and you just did your best to make us all very rich  If so, don't be so subtle next time

  3. Missed the race but I read Hayden finished 6th and Rossi crashed on the cork screw on the second to last lap. What place was he when he crashed?

  4. Vale was behind nicky when he crashed out, not sure if that was 7th or 8th - Hayden passed bradl at about that time to end the race in 6th.

Imola - just about the opposite of your prediction in relation to Stoner, only one of the top guys to go out on the soft rear and managed it to perfection.

A little early to be writing Stoner off methinks.

  5. I reckoned Spies would crash - didn't include him in my prediction.

So I got Lorenzo and Stoner inversed.
    Pedders and Dovi right.

Suspected that Cal would bin it making Bradl 5th.

2 out of 5. Must try harder. The 26 points for the perfect Dainese Challenge score still eludes me - much like the Euromillions.

  6. When Spies crashed out, did anyone else notice just before he went, the back of the bike just drop, as if the rear suspention gave up?? (It was mentioned on the BBC covarage)
As for the crash of Valle, was he trying too hard to catch nicky but a pretty unusual placee to go down?

  7. I saw that too, on Spies' bike, and when the marshalls picked it up it was way down at the back.

  8. Reported as swing arm failure

  9. It did look a bit strange the way it dipped just before he went down, but a swing arm failure, that is unusual?

  10. Not only unusual but a bloody nasty place for it to happen, mind you it would be pretty nasty at any point, but that corkscrew looks really mean! There was one brilliant shot from the helicopter that gave a real perspective of just how much of a drop there is. Real heart in mouth stuff IMHO, hats off to those guys. I've never done a track day ( too chicken with my own bike & not enough cash for the others ) but god I wish I could ride like that!!!

  11. I was at laguna in 2002 for WSB and Ben Bostrom was flying high on the Ducati he crashed and the next day at San Fran airport I bumped into him and asked what had happened turns out the frame snapped! So not unheard of but must be damn scary

  12. Another really boring race. The only excitement was the crashes.
