Can anyone recommend a rear paddock stand for the 899? The stand I had for my last bike doesn't fit, and the couple of local bike shops nearby didn't have any to fit either.. I've got R&G bobbins on it which are pretty standard.
Have you tried ever so slightly bending the one you already have? That's what I did and it works a treat.
only stand i had issues with was my abba stand as fairing covers the frame holes ever so slightly, fine when fairings removed I just bought an cheapish Oxford one, came with the hooks. I would have thought any rear paddock stand would fit? aren't they all width adjustable? there isnt anything particularly unusual about the 899 rear swing arm that i can see
Can't remember which brand I have currently but it's fairly cheap. Weirdly the problem was not with the width of the stand (I managed to just about get it to fit because the hooks are adjustable), but with the height - it takes the weight of the bike off the stand and holds it upright, but the rear wheel still sits on the ground so you can't spin it. I thought it'd be straight forward to get one that fits, but the guys around me don't have any. I'll check out the lightech/oxford ones, thanks guys. P.s. how do front paddock stands work? I've never used one... do you get bobbins just like the rear or is there a different mechanism?
hmm very strange, never seen anything like that before some front paddocks have little prongs that stick into holes at the bottom of the forks others have the cups that fit under the forks and others have hooks that will fit on bobbins ive even see some that lift the bike at the lower fork yoke
my old stand was the same.took the weight but the wheel was still on the floor. no problems with the lightech stand bought from jhp. the same one they use for their race bikes

I have rizoma bobbins and a Motrax stand. That combination doesn't work. Unless you drop down to 28psi on the rear wheel then you can spin it.
