Sorry to be a numpty, but can anyone explain what a single green light on the left indicates - ie light [1], the power light, but nothing else - on an Optimate 4. I've had a look at the instructions http://www.accumate.co.uk/Optimate 4 Instructions.pdf but remain confused as to what else should be showing. ISTR that in the past I had the green power light on the left and also on the right either amber for charging or green for charged. But now I'm getting just the power light and nowt else. It was serviced last week which makes me wonder if the connection hasn't been put back right (but if not, wouldn't some other warning light come on?). Thanks for any help.
Hate to be pointing out the obvious, but have you connected it to the battery? Could have a break in the wire or just a bad connection.
Aye that was my fear - that it hasn't been reconnected properly after the service. Sorry I should have explained that it's the SS, where the battery is underneath an absolutely brimmed tank, which pisses petrol out of the filler if you raise it to work on the battery, which is why I hadn't checked it...
(As you suggested gents, negative lead hadn't been reconnected. I love a simple fix. Now if only the tacho would work...)
