ok building a cafe racer so would like to buy a complete front end inc yokes, forks brakes wheels + swing arm rear shock etc. would like ohlins kit, radial brakes and top end wheels. want all the spacers, swing arm bolts etc because i will use these parts to build the new frame...an old frame would be good for copying headstock and swingarm mounts. W.H.Y? complete bike with blown engine, dropped bikes etc
have a complete 749s engine £500 monster s4 frame modded to fit above £300 s4 yokes to fit ohlins £80 forged Marchi's (gold) with tyres, discs, sprocket £750 early 749 swinger S4 carbon fender other odds n sods
no engines required...frames just for measuring up / cutting up as its having a lowboy / manx / featherbed style frame with a british twin.
yes if possible ohlins with my budget. if not then some usd forks off a duc and rear set up...i can always upgrade later. seling some bits on ebay tonight so im on the hunt before the wife finds the stash!
Hi, I have a set of 998s tin Showa forks and a set of early 748s Showa's and 998r ohlins. yokes...top and bottom x2 sets, x3 916 shape swing arms hubs discs etc Engine bolts etc I have loads of. Have 2 sets of front brembo Calipers 45 & 65mm spacing, and a selection of masters rear Calipers discs etc etc. x3 sets of wheels And a 748 frame I may let go cheap. Infact I have almost x2 748s's in bits and part of a 998 in bits. Depends on exactly wgat you want...I'm sure I will have most of what your after. Put a list together and I'll sort some good prices for you. Tom
if im 100% honest i have no idea what all these different codes and stuff means! i know what i want, pictures are best and a complete bike braking is best also so i can get all i want in one hit. buying it piece meal is expensive...buying in bulk is better value. something like these below V.V.V.
ZRX1200 not Z1000 - but I thought he wanted a Ducati Rear End not a twin shock? Don't know what the forks are but pretty sure they are not Kawasaki ones.
Are the 998s Tin Showas the same size/dimensions 50/54mm as those found on the ST4S and Monster S4R ?
Hi, No mate there 53mm top and bottom yoke...same on all the 916 shape bikes apart from those with ohlins, which are 56mm on the bottom. Tom
tbh the prices of the parts s/h plus dubious historys after crashes etc i think i may buy a whole bike. 749's are cheap. 999 arent that dear either. i got the norton engine stripped down..pricing up the parts....kin ell i though this I-Ty tat was dear!
as im making my own frame, i can mix it up but i want it to handle. like the rear end on this bad boy. i like the shoick and rocker etc
