Hello, I am considering selling this bike as I am looking into buying something else but not yet 100% sure so testing the water as such. Its 748 bip on X reg( don;t know what year is x reg) 6100miles on the clock - if lucky, the bike does 200 miles a year. Termignoni 45m slip on system & Airfilter - power commander III dynoed by BSD for individual cylinder. Carbon Hugger Carbon Swing arm guard Carbon numberplate holder Carbon Tank protector Carbon Key surround Carbon one piece airbox Carbon air tubes Carbon Mudguard Carbon instrument surround Quick release fuel cap. Progrips Ohlins Steering damper and fitting kit Ohlins Rear shock Ktech piston kit in forks Brembo P4 calipers Dymag Carbon/Magnesium hub wheels. Ducati Corse genuine side panels used on their corse race bikes - (right hand side has repairs inside. I bought them like this as they cost 700a piece from what i was told?hence has a closed belly pan. JHP slipper clutch and clutch casing cut out conversion. Ducati 848 sidestand conversion so bike doesnt lean over so much. DID chain with renthal sprocket carrier I can't remmeber if i'm 2nd or 3rd owner but have owned this for over 4 years. I gave this to my OH to ride - she doesn't ride it much. Bike will need a belt service so price reflects this even though last service was probably 2-300 miles ago. I've had JHp service and carry out all the rearshock installation and all the other bits during the time I have owned the bike. Always thought this bike would stay on just as part of the collection and part of history, but my OH really doesn't like riding it. She prefers her wet clutch bikes Looking for 4000gbp. Bike located in North London. no silly offers please.
Thanks I might do that if i decided to sell. Does the wheels fit the 996/998 series too? The dymags are on a 6inch rim last time i checked. would be a shame to breake though.
Yep, they will fit across the range, also look at taking anything non standard off and putting all the original stuff back on, then sell the non standard stuff, as the price you will sell the bike for, will not reflect the extras that you have added.
good looking bike! I would love to see it in the flesh (not to buy as i have no money!) but to check out a few details like the fairings for example, Im in west london near the ace, will be there sunday morn if weather ok if you r up to it or perhaps another time in the near future? would look cool the two black n white beasties parked up together!
Nice bike, but to be honest, I think that you'll do very well to get 4K as a complete unit... Its got nice bits on it; but at the end of the day; it's an old bike and not a special; such as an R or RS... You may get more if you sell the trick bits separately; such as the wheels and clutch... Best of luck though.... pse let us know what it goes for... as an old 748 owner; I'll always hold a candle to them... ;-) Bob
Maybe - looking at weather. what time will you be there tomorrow? I live pretty much 10 mins away. I know by breaking - I can get a lot more - but I don't want to start breaking until I am sure I want to sell. If someone wants to buy it for 4k or close to that - I'm not that fussed about breaking. Considering 2 exhaust systems I have purchased cost in excess of 3k each, would you rather have a very different bike for 4 k which is also the most iconic sportsbike (shapewise)or 2 exhaust systems
bout 9 ish 9.30 maybe...dont break a good bike if you dont have to.. its worth that all day long and then some....
