Rear shock to fit any 916 shape bike. DU9260 (similar to the FO1/FO2 factory shocks) This is believed to have come off a 748RS. It has better valving than a standard and a hydraulic preload adjuster so no need for C spanners. It's suitable for a standard road length swing arm and set up for roughly a 12 stone rider. Recent service with k tech. £450 + £12 postage
I can confirm that this is the correct reference number for the 748RS shock but if it is the stock item, it is sprung and valved for a standard length swing arm. The 748RS didn't run the longer swing arm although there are a small number of mag alloy race swing arms out there that are longer and have the standard mounting point that were made for a series in Germany during the late 90s. I run one on my 748R based track bike and at £450 it is a great upgrade because of the better feel you get from the back end. Andy
Hi mate, Yes it's valves for a standard length arm. I believe almost all these shocks when used in competition were serviced by k-tech, this has indeed been serviced and maintained by them as has the tell tail k-tech spring. Valving I'm unsure as what exactly it's got but know for definite it will work best with the standard arm. Tom
