Quick Shifter Advice... Set Up And Stuff...

  1. It's for road configuration; review looks quite tempting... I'll wait to see it @arthurbikemad can provide them; then unless I get contradicting advice, I'll probably go for one of these...

  2. I would think it will be either road or race. They are not dedicated like the Ducati ones as you can set them to kill the power on compression or extension of the load cell or indeed both at the same time.
    Unless the light is different fro al other HM QS's.
     
  3. Yep, pretty sure they can be set up for compression or expansion action....
     
  4. I fitted a QS to my Streetfighter after having it on the 899, The dealer I use, the salesman in there recommended the HM as that's what he uses on his 1199 said it is better than the Ducati one that is advertised in their catalogue.

    Seeing as you lot are quite in the know, is it ok to QS from 1st to 2nd as I have been warned not to as it could damage the box. Anyone shed any light ?

  5. The HM GP has kill times for each gear, it specifically has a longer time for 1st to 2nd, personally I'd not use any other shifter for shifting to 2nd, the HM GP is currently in development for Ducati.

    I am sure some experts on here maybe able to advise better than me!
