  2. Do you do fmc employee discount?

  3. Hmmmm I want 1 ;)

  4. Please tell me that the 2.3 4 Cylinder is not a diesel! Even if it isn't, a 2.3 litre Mustang is a nasty idea.

No sign of fuel consumption figures on the website, but their timing is good, with falling petrol prices!

  5. V8 mmmmmmmm.

  6. I quite like the idea of a 4 cylinder turbo mustang, my little brother had a Nissan 200sx (a 2l turbo, rwd coupe) and that was an absolute riot!

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  7. Hmmm, may take a v8 for a test drive. It has to be more fun than the 335d thing I have now

  8. I should know shortly what is available. If you want to ping me a pm I can keep you in the loop. Is it priv or ambassador you qualify for?

  9. do they still use leaf springs?

  10. What about the handling - they've sorted that, right?

Right. The big news is that the Mustang gets an independent rear suspension for the first time (if you don't count the SVT Cobra). But that is just the beginning of the handling story for this car. It's not going too far to say that this chassis is one of the best Ford has ever produced, anywhere in the world.

In the spec we'll get in the UK - which in the US would require optioning a performance pack - this Mustang is fabulously neutral, controlled, amazingly well damped and exactly what you want underneath you. It's a tiny bit harsh on some bigger bumps, but road noise is low, the steering is direct - especially in Sport mode, one of three switchable choices available - and it's a lot of fun to drive.

  17. Not my cup of tea, but Clarkson and Hammond were positive about it in a recent pre series interview.
