Bar Ends.. Rizoma maybe?

  1. Hi Chaps,

Get loads of vibes through the bars... didn't bother me too much before but doing a bit more straight roads these days. My bars have the heated grips and zero bar ends. Any of you guys put any on? Rizoma any good (they do look nice) - fit and more importantly work ok?

Did a search... nothing of any note came up.

    Cheers.

  2. I have rizoma bar ends, cant say they do a lot for vibrations but yes look nice so I would recommend them (I have black ones - can post pics if u want).

I have noticed on the other forum that the ducati performance bar ends are also very nice - see if you can find pics (if not let me know).

  3. I had the R and G ones, but swopped them for the Rizoma ones pruley cause i think they look better. I didnt really feel any bar vibes with either..? But the R and G ones are heavier if this helps

  4. Go t the r and g ones ones but they don't improve it that much. Got the grip puppies on now though and they are the dogs nuts, so to speak, great improvement.

  5. Got the Rizoma ones myself... brushed ally ones. Just for looks. Very happy with them....

  6. Thanks - I'll check all those suggestions out... Might be worth a go... I'll start with the best looking first...

  7. I tried the grip puppies, tried to convince myself I liked them but just couldn't get on with the extra diameter of the bars so whipped em off. I get numb fingers but I think it might be more to do with the having "cupped" wrists than vibration so I try to ride with a slightly straighter wrist (hope that makes sense). I think it helps a bit.

  8. The grip puppies do feel strange to begin with, however, after a good ride out you do soon get used to them and no tingly fingers.

  9. Yeh I try to do that as much as possible, its just 2 hours to work so anything that stops me having to shake the arms about now and again is good!

  10. Do they work with heated grips? Might have to check em out... I was reading on the ducati.ms that bugs posted, throttlemeister looks a decent bar end and is recommended by a lot of peeps. Just very expensive...

  11. I have the DP ones on my bike, yes they look ok, but are no better (practically speaking) than a cheap Chinese set from ebay.
The R&G ones on my bothers beamer are very heavy compared to the DP ones, prob made of stainless rather than ali.

  12. I got some Rizoma ones, they are pretty light and didn't really make any difference...

  13. I did have them on for about 600 miles so I gave them a fair chance

  14. Maigrait - I have a set of barnd new (never fitted) R&G bar ends if you're interested.

They are a lot heavier than the standard plastic rubbish, so I'm sure they would help (especially when fitted in combination with grip puppies, which is what I planned).

Only reason I have not used them is that, after a incident on a cross channel ferry broke my mirror and handguard, I changed my mind and went for a set of bark busters.

  15. Thanks Steve - I'm going to have a look around and see first. I need to weigh up money vs potential benefit... Money is a bit tight at the mo so gonna make the decision once rather than try a couple of different things. I maybe back to you thanks.
