900ss Fuel Level Sensor Removal

  1. Ive finally got round to trying to sort out the rust in my old 900SS fuel tank ( 1994 ) Im intending to POR15 it. Im struggling now with the fuel level sensor and pump wiring. Got the big ally nut off, but how do you get the sensor out?? Seems to be sealed in with some green sealant. Anybody got any advise?? Its beat me!!

  2. It should just pull out. It's probably just gunge or corossion holding it in.

  3. 21 years of corosion had got a good grip of it. Managed to twist it out last night holding the ally cap with a pair of mole grips and lots of wd40.
