I was looking at getting the ECU reflashed by a guy i know over here. He has v good knowledge of bikes etc, and has already reflashed my Super Doper unbeatable Yam xt1200z tonka traillie with outstanding results. His software is pretty good, he reckons the best out there. He has now acquired the same software that Ducati use. So i was asked did I want the 1098 doing... Its standard s but termi slip ons. Im not nervous as such, but if i can achive the same fueling results , smoother throttle and power delivery as I got with the Yam I will be happy. Im not after bhp, although I will gain, but its more the low down fueling. He says its easily achievable to get the bike running smoother and he has a dyno to run the bike at the same time - so it will be optimum tuning to dyno and reflash at the same time. Anyone done a reflash on a 1098, how did it work out for you? One small concer I had, i dont have the code card off the bike - he says its not needed and what he is doing wont affect the bike in that respect at all. If i dont like the way it turns out ( which Im sure I will ), i can go back to the way it was. Thoughts ?
