If I flip linkage like the pic below, will a normal road shift QS work? Or will I need a different rod sensor/switch thingy or can they also be reversed? Are they push /pull?
apologies if i'm wrong , i was looking at some recently an there seemed to be quite a choice available, but what do i know.
From HPS Website re Translogic Shifters Explanation of Push, Pull and Dual (DCS) Shift Rod Sensors Depending on whether your bike has the standard footrest and gearshift configuration (road), or it has been modified (normally for racing with a reversed shift), you may require a different shift rod sensor. If you know which sensor you require (i.e., push/compression or pull/tension) please choose accordingly, or you may choose DCS which is universal and can operate in both push or pull modes and gives you complete flexibility should you change your configuration later. If you're unsure and need further information to assist you with this decision, please call us for advice. cool, really fancy one m'self, after riding the tuono i find myself expecting the same (qs) on the duke. let me know how you get on. see you soon.
I have one of those on my 999. Works a treat. You'll love it - an endless stream of acceleration. Will make you grin like a loon...
My HM works in both configs, I know because it was road shift when I got it andI spun it upside down and @Cranker V2 reconfigured the box to allow for it. Works perfect either way
These things really are bloody clever! I was looking at some pics of some old ones and you can clearly see they're a 2 part construction with micro switch. These must work using sorcery! :Nailbiting:
