Qs Flippy Linkage Thingy.

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Nelson, Mar 28, 2015.

  1. If I flip linkage like the pic below, will a normal road shift QS work?
Or will I need a different rod sensor/switch thingy or can they also be reversed?
    Are they push /pull?

  5. hi nelson, i believe qs come in both push and pull varieties , in different brands too

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  6. Nope. Compression - road, extension - race.

Unless you have a HM Plus SS which does both.

Explanation of Push, Pull and Dual (DCS) Shift Rod Sensors
Depending on whether your bike has the standard footrest and gearshift configuration (road), or it has been modified (normally for racing with a reversed shift), you may require a different shift rod sensor. If you know which sensor you require (i.e., push/compression or pull/tension) please choose accordingly, or you may choose DCS which is universal and can operate in both push or pull modes and gives you complete flexibility should you change your configuration later. If you're unsure and need further information to assist you with this decision, please call us for advice.

  13. My HM works in both configs, I know because it was road shift when I got it andI spun it upside down and @Cranker V2 reconfigured the box to allow for it. Works perfect either way

  14. These things really are bloody clever!
I was looking at some pics of some old ones and you can clearly see they're a 2 part construction with micro switch.
These must work using sorcery! :Nailbiting:
