Anyone have any advice on fixing an intermittent horn on an 848. It didn't work when a lorry pulled out in front of me the other day but it now works perfectly well in the garage. The bike is still under warranty so I can get it fixed but would rather sort it myself if it's something straightforward.
From a quick swatch at my 1098 wiring diag, which I reckon will be the same its fed from fusebox to switch to horn and then earths through the dash. Doesn't look like any relays involved. So check horn connections all good, guess if everything else on the switch works then its obviously not the fuse or the switch and the problem is either the horn or wiring from switch to horn. Probably the horn itself its hardly the highest quality component on the bike. I'd check the connections on the bar switch to loom is secure and the horn connections. If they are good then I'd just let the dealer sort it and ask him what he finds John
