hello all i'm an italian android developer, proud owner of an hypermotard 1100 evo sp. a few weeks ago my display has stopped working, i can see lights but no LCD information, and my dealer asked me 750 EUR to replace. so i am thinking to use my mobile to acquire info from the bike (RPM, temp, speed etc) and add GPS, nav, and other useful features. i am looking on how to interface to the ECU (siemens 286.4.182.1A) but i have no idea on how to get the info. i've read some threads talking about ELM327, IAW5AM and so on, does someone could give me a high level overview in which components i should use and how to connect them to have my mobile acquire real time data from the ECU? obvoiusly, all my work will be open source, so i will share my result to give to all ducati community a better experience
