1200 Engine Case Scuff Protection

  1. My 2012 engine cases (particularly the right hand side) are getting scuffed / having the paint rubbed away by my boots. Anyone got a simple fix? I know I could get rg racing engine covers but expensive and ugly in my humble opinion.

  2. Would a bit of carbon wrap last on an engine cover?

  4. Helicopter tape is what you want.
    Clear, doesn't discolour, waterproof adhesive, heat proof, abrasion resistant
    Helicopter Tape | 3M Helicopter Tape

    Its real name is 8671HS

    You can usually buy smaller sections of it on eBay. Used it before, its sort of a weird rubbery tape and it does the job well.

  5. My mate uses helicopter tape on his phone as a screensaver. But then he always was weird.
