Love everything about this bike Only managed 60 miles today but going for a proper ride in the morning The engine is very impressive, and it sounds lovely.
Glad you got there in the end. More pics required tomorrow as well as review. Feeling quite envious now, my bike needs to turn up soon
Use my steering lock when parked in town so it can't just be wheeled away, would need effort, but otherwise never bother. Had bikes nicked in the past and they all had steering locks on.
Squeezed 100 miles in today, here are my comparisons against the 2014 model I had for the last week: Engine feels much stronger throughout the rev range. There was a slight delay in 1st and 2nd before the power kicked in. Disabling dwc made a big difference. Apparently ducati are aware and will be sorted in a software update (according to another forum). Exhaust and induction noise sounds deeper and more sportbikeish! Seat isn't as comfortable, it's nice to get both feet flat on the ground (in high position, I'm 5'10"), but the two veg pay the price! You need to shuffle around more on the dvt to stay comfortable. Cruise control is great. Would be nice if it also worked below 31mph. This was very useful on my S1000R. Switchgear is much improved and the screen is lovely and sharp (just the standard model). Much prefer the standard suspension. The skyhook bike dived far to much under heavy braking. The standard set up works great for me, also flicks left to right much quicker. Front brakes are superb, back brake works Tested the cornering abs today, works really well and it's nice to know it's there. That's about it. Cheers
Just joined to see forum remarks on the Multistrada steering lock problems. Had been away for a few days so secured the bike with the steering lock on in the garage. When I tried to activate the bike the lock disengaged but it bleeped and flashed up a steering lock error on the screen. Bike now in Ducati Glasgow awaiting supply of replacement hands free unit Three months old, 2500 miles not pleased
You think 2500 miles and three months is bad! My DVT was three days old with 32 miles on the clock when the steering lock failed to disengage and left me stuck in the middle of deep Cheshire at 10:30 at night....Still love the bike though
