1200 Baglux/ster Tank Bag Needed

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by ymfb, Jun 15, 2015.

  1. I have the tank cover, but have so far failed to get the right tank bag. Even Motolegends seem to have failed.

Can anyone tell me which bag is needed, red would be best, but black is OK.

    Thanks

  2. Bagster cross'r

  3. Slightly of topic. I've always had Bagster tank covers on my 'tourers' (FJR TDM) so that I can take my dog out with me (no kidding, Bagster friendly is the official bag for pets up to 8kg).

My question is how well does the tank cover fit?
On the two Yamahas it was very good (tried on Aprilia RSV 1000 and it had to go back...:Sour:)
I know it's an issue with steering lock but the wife insists we go '3-UP :Woot:'

  4. Just got back from France and I loved the tank bag. So useful. Not sure bout putting the dog in it. I wouldn't want to extend the bag as it might be a slight issue with seeing clocks but there was plenty of room not extended to have my micro 4/3rds camera plus two lenses and cleaning kit, both passports wallets and missus massive purse, both our sunny sweets, satnav cover and more. I could also see my satnav perfectly which is mounted on the left side of handlebars.
I must mention it does not fit aswell as my triumph cover or older fazed cover but it still is quite secure. It bolts into the three boots under the seat and obviously has wrap round the headstock.

  5. Ff6022 what bike have you got ?

  6. Thanks Ff6022 for your prompt response. I think I'm going to capitulate and possibly buy the luggage rack and put the dog on the back of the bike...
It will mean we can still ride '3-UP' but the dog no longer sees the 'intended view', just the rear of the wife (ps the wife doesn't know about this site:Smuggrin:)

  8. I have a 2014 multi

  9. Thanks

  10. Smart riders had three bags to try, unfortunately none actually fitted the tank cover. They have been in touch with the distributor who are sending out a Canyon to try next.

  11. What yr are you trying it on? You need to get the trail fitment. Or are you talking bout a general fit on the bike?

  12. Ff6022, please excuse my ignorance, what is the trail fitment ?

is this an adaptor or a different tank cover ?

  13. No no. Bagalux do two different size fitments for the tank cover. Standard (which 90% of the bags fit) and Trail (Only 1 or two bags fit). The multistrada has a trail style fitment, so you need to go on the website and see which bags have trail size fitment or go with the cross'r bag which has an adjustable fitment at the bottom and fits both types.
