I am looking for an ignition controlled live on my bike, does anyone know where one will be before i get out my multimeter and locate one? I need it for my heated grips......................yes i know but i use the bike all year round and like warm hands rather than thick gloves!!!!!!!!!!!! Is there a wiring diagram on line? Any help would be welcome. Thanks.
Peter on SF you have CANbus wiring I would not cut in to that or connect anything. It will give ecu error codes, eobd light and possibly no start. Same wires used for power are also used as data cables for sensors.
I also want to fit heated grips via an ignition wired relay and would like to know where to connect. Also want to fit a charging socket to the battery. Can I assume it is okay to disconnect the battery, connect my charging wires and reconnect the battery.Any advice greatly welcomed, thankyou.
I think i have found a suitable live feed, the data logging connector under the seat. This should be ok to use i am told, so i will give it a go and see if it throws up any error codes.
Ok that is no good, ducati man says no no....... He said wire into the headlight circuit, this is not on the can bus system and has the highest loadind and resistance.
