Stuck in traffic in London the other day and the temperature rose to 106 before the fans kicked in. The Bike was very hot to sit on and my inner thighs got rather hot and started to feel they were on fire. Anyone else had there bike temperature up so the fans kick in and got rather hot inner thighs Steve
All the time in slow traffic on the 749. It can be painful! There is something you can put under the saddle but it doesn't stop the heat from the side. I have wondered if there is a lining for trousers that might reflect the heat.
I had the fans cutting in when I was stuck in traffic riding into Madrid recently. Mind you, it was stupid hit with the bike running 70+ at speed so I was melting anyway!!
I've had 104 on the temp meter stuck in traffic - pretty normal I think. Because the top of the rear cylinder is where your nuts are it's going to get hot there. There isn't any heat shielding between the seat and the cylinder, so some of that silver stick on stuff on the underside of the front of the seat may help.
116 stuck in Zaragoza traffic for over an hour, trying to find a hotel (ambient 38) - really thought I was going pass out at one stage!
Looks like something i'll have to put with. Later on that evening air temperature down to 10 and bike down to 57 when I could of done with some heat around backside.
