Hi Guys Need some help to sort out this problem. My 749 wont start ,orange engine light on engine turning over but wont start. Checked out error codes 12.2 and 13.2 which mean injectors are short to earth. Dont know were to start looking ,any suggestions
Checked out the fuel pump relay it looked ok terminals clean but i put a new one on ,£3.70 was hoping for a cheap easy fix Have cleaned all electrical connectors that are in view Still got that dreaded orange light on and same fault codes Looks like a bit of dismantling is on the cards
It was the fuel relay after all .When i first put the new relay on and turned the ignition on i thought the orange light would go out if that was the fault . I could hear the fuel pump priming but not with the old relay in so i tried starting and it fired into life the light went out and the error codes disappeared Relief Cheers
First of all i hope the issue is sorted. I had the same error codes with my 999. I thought it had been fixed twice but twice the bike ended up on the back of a tow truck. If it does return as mine did around 100 miles later then the fix for mine was a repaired ecu and fix a damaged wire in the loom it self. Took some finding by the mechanic. i've always suspected I damaged the wire probing around the behind the battery changing one of the relays as a precaution during one the services I was doing :-( Good luck mate.
