Hi All, The season is drawing to a close and what better way to see it off than to visit the Shelsely Bike Festival, brought to you by same folks who kick the season off at the Prescott Bike Festival. Shelsley Walsh Bike Festival | Severn Freewheelers EVS | Bike Festivals Set in rural Worcestershire, but 20 mins from Junction 9 of the M5, Shelsley Hill Climb is the longest running motorsport venue in the UK. As used by Guy Martin for testing his gravity racer. Plenty to see and do including the full Ducati range of bikes supported by Ducati UK. Tickets in advance £10 or £15 on the gate. I think there are still some run the hill tickets at a reasonable £35 for two runs. Overnight camping available. See you there.
Some updates for you: Extra hour or track time!! More Run the Hill slots available. Mad Max Racing will be bringing their V8 bike!! only round the corner from me and up until a few months back would have been to any event at shelsley but after being in attendance when the workers all started moaning about "rich people" showing of in their expensive toys and the ferrari guys getting flack for just turning up im never going to anything there again. all the workers are still there btw, the boss decided to back the haters and not the enthusiasts!
Don't let that experience sway you. This event is being run by SevernFreewheelers who are all motorcycle enthusiasts. The day will be about bikes and having a good time. As this is not a hill climb event those running the hill are not competing, just having a unique expereience that you don't get very often.
Bugger!! I'll be down the Gower recovering from my 14 mile walk for Macmillan, otherwise I would've loved to go!
dont think my misses would be very happy me flying back from greece half way though our holiday, though its very tempting.
Shameless BUMP! Less that a week to go, the weather looks like it will be great. Huge list of interesting paddock specials and Ducati UK will be there too. Runt the Hill tickets still available, so book now to avoid disappointment.
Probiding its not lunching down ( my kit isnt excatly waterproof!) I'll be along. Weather looking dodgy at the moment tho..
