Termi End Cans But No Ecu?

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by SconuT, Sep 10, 2015.

  1. Hi all, I've had my 09 848 for a couple of weeks now and everything seems fine, however I've noticed the dash message says tse when the ignition comes on meaning it has the stock ecu. The bikes got the Termignoni end cans and air filter but doesn't seem to have the ecu fitted. I've got the box with the original cans and filter in but no sign of either the old or new ecu so I can only assume it was never supplied and fitted. Is this ok or should I be looking for an ecu to go in? The bike rides fine, however seems to be doing a lot more to the gallon than it should be as I'm getting to 100 miles and still no fuel light on, when I fill it up its only taking around 11 litres which suggests to me it's running too lean. Just looking for any advice on the ecu or any shared experience of fuel consumption? Cheers

  2. Some dealers have the righ software and cables and can upload a DP map to your existing ECU

  3. Ill give that a try then. It might have been done already but I think I'll get it checked all the same.

  4. The das h should show this
    848 std map - SBK 848 Evo
    848 slipon cans -
    848 full system - 848 Evo Racing

There was a post on here that listed all the dash readouts but I cant find it.

  5. I don't think he has the evo.

  6. The both the Slip on map and Full System Map say 848 Racing on the dash. You have to check the map ref to confirm which is which.

For the Slip On you need 96519408B.

The stock 848 dash message is SBK 848 TSE

The missing 848 EVO DP message above is SBK 848 EVO DP

  7. Ah Chris to the rescue, thanks mate, oh and welcome back Ian hope holiday was good.

  8. Thanks so far to all. The bike is a non evo model so from what I've read it has the stock ecu in it but should have the one matched to the slip ons and say 848 racing on the dash. The bikes covered 16k miles and runs fine as far as I can tell (my first Ducati). Do you think I should I get the ecu flashed or just carry on as it is? Ive seen a company called Avanti race parts that do the re flashing for 149 quid. I'm really surprised the ecu wasn't changed at the time as the kit came directly from Ducati.

  9. Get it flashed you could always ask @antonye see if there's any forum discount ;)

  10. Happy to take a look at it for you.

  11. I would also just get it flashed properly with a custom map. I had a 'superstock' map done on my 848 evo as it had arrows and DP air filter and it was much better

  12. Sent you guys an email last night via the website,

  13. Cheers, vince. Yes mate, had a beauty. :)
