Just thought I'd say hello to everyone! My first bike was an '03 VFR800, which ultimately ended up on it's side after hitting a patch of grass about a foot wide (long story for another time). My broken hand healed, I was ready to get back in the game and started looking for more of a cruiser vs sport bike/tourer. Was looking for something a bit more exotic than the sea of Harleys (I'm about an hour from Daytona Beach) and Jap bikes in general, so checked out a used 2003 620ie on Craigslist up in Savannah, GA. It had GPR exhausts, 12k miles and was in overall great shape for a 12 year old bike, so I pulled the trigger back in March of this year. Definitely a better feel of being "connected" to the bike and the GPR exhaust sounds fantastic vs the VFR. Even now, every time I take her out for a ride, I get nothing but compliments and thumbs up from people. I'm not one to seek approval from others, but, hey - it's something I can get used to! It didn't take me long to think about maybe a bit more power (the VFR had way more than I needed in that department), so I added a 2005 S2R800 Dark to the stable. Thanks to the tank expansion problem, it now has a proper S2R Silver/Black stripe from an S2R1k. I just had the valves and belts replaced, but now having electrical issues with the '05 S2R, so primarily the reason I'm here. I'll post some pics when I get a chance. Cheers, Shane

Hello DesmoJAX and welcome. My mother-in-law lives in Gainesville, Florida*. So I very rarely go there. (*This is not a joke, by the way, it's true).
Welcome DesmoJAx to a brilliant forum with a very knowledgable group of people(not me a newbie to Ducati by a month)
