Water hose connection sealant?

    Whats the best sealant to apply to thread or will ptfe tape do.

  2. Ptfe tape would work if applied correctly, but personally I'd us loctite 572 thread paste as it will lubricate the thread better to prevent galling when assembling.

  3. Peter, on mine I think Ducati suggest using loctite 577. Its a thread sealant for water unions and works from -50 to 150c

  4. 577 and 572 are essentially the same but 572 has a slower curing time.
