  1. I thought they brought it out as ff 2010-2011 along with t/c. Don't know if it had q/s and I might be wrong about all of the above. Think FE has one on their hybrid?

  2. 3mm real structural carbon sheet ordered. I can cut that at home withjigsaw, wearing a face mask of course.

  3. After a bunch of aborted attempts at different airboxes (1198 into 999) I used the base box from an 1198 with the 999 lid.

Cut off the mating edge from the 999 base and plastic welded (60W soldering iron) it to the 1198 base so that it would mate up to the 999 lid.

I'll post some pics up this evening if you're interested?

  4. You could also use thin CF fabric and structural foam - will be rigid as and light.

3mm CF will be easier and quicker though and certainly rigid.

  5. Got a 996 so doesn't have an airbox. Gonna fiberglass the thing this wkd and use the duct tape as a former. Ps I believe that the 1098r had traction from 2009. I think I'll ditch the abs thought as I'm not changing my clocks, keys, loom, discs, etc... I think I'll just upgrade the forks and calipers over winter. Cheers for the replies though.

  6. This is where I'm at at the mo. I know the bottom hose needs to go over the battery box, just chocked them on for the mo. Gotta do the fans (is it worth using both?) and was thinking of getting a 1098 rad, but I believe they have a reputation for leaking? Going to use my 996 oil cooler too!

  7. Looking good!
Have you tried your fairings over all the plumbing?
916 rad is better IMO as you can still get to the filler cap. I used one fan.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  8. Cheers Gaz
No, but it took me ages to figure out that the battery box could be bolted to the head!!! With the bottom hose fired correctly, over the bat box, nothing is wider than the rad. Are they 2 stage fans, with one kicking in later, or do they both work together?

  9. Both at the same temp as far as I know.
You'll also need to change that head light connector if it's a roadbike.

  10. No worries, got old loom. Got lamda on pipe too.! Can't wait to get it done now!!!
