  3. I will have to have it in bits, to see what's what. I'm happy if it's got all those bits fitted, the paperwork is a surprise. It looks as if it was built for someone seriously into racing but I'm hoping it was bragging rights down the pub.

I know lot's of people pull bits off when they sell a bike so will see. I will have a look down the intake ports to see if it has a tuned head and I will have the clutch out at some point. It would be nice to have those bits but not if it's been hammered, looking at the bills it's had serious money spent. I don't know any engine builders that will raise compression on a tired motor.

Oh well it is what it is...

  4. So, Dr Desmo is Steve Hillary who used to own Moto Rapido before he went into partnership with Steve Moore aka Wilf. Steve Hillary is legend where Ducati engines are concerned so the initial tune would have been good. Andy

  5. biggelaar look like specialist too, everything is well documented.

It did have an aftermarket dash on it according to the paperwork, so I am guessing lots of bits have been removed. I want to check the coolant has anti freeze in it tomorrow, but I need to do some work at some point :(

  6. Lot so of paperwork from Moto Rapido too.

  7. It does not look to have a slipper clutch in to me. It looks like a stock alloy pressure plate and hub :( The pressure plate had Ducati written on it and the hub LRM.

I did not take the center out because I don't have a manual with a torque setting and not going to F the job up. Oh well did not expect it to have one (even though it was listed in the pile of paper work) but it would have been nice regardless.

All the other bits suggested are obvious.

  8. Stock clutch pressure plate has teeth that locate with the centre. Slipper pressure plate is plain. Andy

  11. I thought so, never mind. I may just change the pressure plate and springs to tidy it up and fit a slipper later.

  13. As long as mine is not slipping on power I'm happy. I won't be using it for now. I will be giving it some love before I do get it out next year.
