My bike has decided out of the blue to display the words "oil service" on the dash but had no countdown and as far as I can tell its not due either. Last service was at 7500 miles, I now have 10,000 and was 7 months ago - the next known service should be at around 15000. It appears to have been as a result of removing the battery when I unplugged the SCU - the message wasn't on the dash before then at all and have ridden 0 miles since I did remove it. Any ideas? Not really what I want on the dash when its going in for sale tomorrow!
Might be because it's also time based not just milage, Annual oil service? Mine is all over the place because I had new clocks.
7 months since last one as said Doesn't add up from.either miles or time. Usually there is a count down to the service anyway...this just appeared out of the blue
Mines counting down from 500 miles at the mo. As Twin4Me said, mine too is all over the place as my clocks randomly reset to zero whilst riding home from the dealer. [emoji15]
