  1. anyone any info on balancing throttle bodies on the 1098? iv the downloaded manual but cant find anything except if you remove and refit the bodies you need to reset the tps.
iv had the service reminder reset along with the tps and wanted to balance ( if needed ) before I rebuild the bike . cheers.

sorry for the spelling ( duh )

  2. Balance only using the air bleed screws. Don't touch the linkages at all. The air bleeds are on the RHS of the throttles. Front is easy to get to, rear difficult to spot, but once you've got it then straightforward.
Adjusting the bleed screws will move the CO about. If you're on a stock ECU, then it'll compensate off the front lambda, if you have DP then it's adjustable but you'll need software to trim it.

  3. many thanks nelly great help mate.....:upyeah:

  4. Would like to learn this, what software?
    Thanks

  5. I have the factory DDS unit, but there is some freeware out there to do this. @chrisw should be able to advise? The tough one is a decent CO meter, again I have pro stuff. DIY kit tends to run slowly and have slow response times.

  6. If you only do them on the air bleeds will this phase the the throttles when you have the butterfly's open , just asking out of interest likes

  7. No, not to any measurable degree. The throttles are mechanically balanced on assembly and the adjusters sealed. You'll get wear over time, but you're looking at negligible changes. The air bleeds are are an accurate adjustment in their own right.

  8. What ever happened to just using vacuum gauges :(
