I'm wondering if there's anyone who knows of a company which tests ignition units? All the voltages, resistances and the like to the thing seem to be correct. The pulse generators seem in order, as do the coils. The plugs are ok, but just not sparking. I could replace the ignition unit, but thats £200 new, and theres little guarantee that an ebay / breakers one would be better? Thanks people....
You can pick up a CDI for next to nothing. register on my site 400greybike and advertise for one (i am CRM on there too), i have 2 spare somewhere i think. they change hands for around 20 - 30 quid, even an aftermarket ignitech can be had cheaply. I know these inside out - where abouts are you ?
