Just how much do you ride your bike?

Not as much as I used to. Have over 30,000 on the 748 but, more likely to be seen out on the Monster. I travel quite a bit with customers laptops and my own cameras for racing and can't afford to get knocked off or take a spill.

 

Nowhere near as often as I would like to! Bad back and crappy weather have made this year one in which I've covered very few miles. Here's hoping next year will be better.

 

Fine weekends only, I would use for daily comute bit I need to carry tools around.

And occasional long trips to race meetings.

 

Commute to work every day unless its snow/ice, go on holls on bike and if its dry at weekends, 848's are great for everything!!

 

I only ride mine when there's plenty of irony forecast and guaranteed piss taking on the horizon

14,000 miles in 18 months, so averaging nearly 200 miles per week but more in Summer than Winter.

 

Took mine for the MOT and when I went back the tester said he didn't put the mileage down on the cert. as he thought the milometer was probably broken, the previous mileage was 57,000 and now it was 82,000 "Who does 25,000 a year on a Ducati ?....clock must be wrong"

I try to clean the bike once a month though...its a good idea, cause you get quite a layer of flies on the front.

The previous bike to be tested was a Harley it had only done 3 miles in the year....to the MOT station and back ....that was probably more believable but surely he could have trailered it there and saved all that wear:wink:

 

Most of my mileage is touring abroad as I won't venture out in the cold and rain unless i have to. Perfectly happy to ride in the rain as a bike used to be my only method of transport as a yuf but not if i can avoid it. This year i have done about 4K miles but probably only about 250 of those in the UK.

That said i spent 6 days in France in June and apart from the 1st day it hammered down every day.

 

Done nearly 350 miles since last mot. Shame mot is actually due next month!!

someone looking for an answer to his affliction, some company maybe,....kind of "look its not so bad here are all these other poor souls"

bearing in mind the OP's collection and now new acquisition.
What say you Dave, are 'we' a challenger for Sammy Miller ?
Is that Double garage getting too small ?:biggrin:
