I have my bike up for sale and people coming over to view (and throw lowballs at me). This morning, the infamous fuel sensor issue cropped up without warning. Dash lights up, error appears, fuel gauge shows empty and there is a solenoid ticking over in the battery area. Bike refuses to start. Seems the dealers want about £80 to collect it and diagnose and then might be able to get some level of goodwill from Bologna. Sucks...
The fuel sensor problem usually doesn't stop the bike from running. Do you have a flat battery also ?
I had a fuel sensor packed up out of warranty. Ducati goodwill provided the replacement, but I had to pay the labour, which can be about 2 hours. And it didn't stop the bike from running. Sounds like there is some other problem.
It always works up until the point when it stops. Suspect battery/charging issue, especially in view of the solenoid clicking.
