1200 Best Decat For 1 2010

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by NSR500, Nov 9, 2015.

  1. Opinions on what decat pipe will suit a 2010 S touring Best, Mivv or Leo Vince or any other? The can currently on the bike is an Akra.

  2. I don't know which is best , but I'm waiting for a better price on Leo Vince ( $635.00 Canadian dollars + $116 for the DB killer ) will shortly buy Tuneboy engine tune, CC , QS and race launch first , so when I do get the decat I can tune the bike with a trim file .

  3. The most popular and highly regarded is the Leo Vince. Good for tuning but sadly no matching end can. OE end can with or without the silly little db killer is very loud. Have had one on my 2012 Multistrada for nearly 3 years and very happy. Andy

  4. Sounds like I need a Leo Vince then. When you say loud I'm guessing it would not be much more than the full termi on my hyper, which required ear plugs to prevent them ringing for a few days, although that may not help as I doubt you heard that!

  5. Just to warn you I'm having trouble getting stock exhuast on the Leo Vince decat. It's about 3mm too long and can't get the locating pin seated. I'm having a buddy shave 4mm off tonight. I do believe I'm like the only person to have had this issue. Anyways with the extra baffle I think it's loud but liveable.

  6. That's painful for a couple of mm. Have you queried with LV? Keep us posted.

  7. I threw a few emails at the dealer. They came up with some ideas to get it to fit but no joy. I've given it to a friend to take a few mm off. Can't be arsed to send it bk and sort it out as it will take forever but then again they won't know there pipe doesn't work.

  8. guys for end-cans and maybe some exhaust work can I recommend MHP exhausts. have had my termi for a while now and the endcan kept splitting, I sent it to mark who built me a new pipe with the same spec as the as the termi, only it was a hundred quid instead of seven!. excellent work and I would go back to him for any other pipe work. bugs

  9. Little teaser for you guys.
    Leo Vince+stock exhuast no baffle:

  10. Added a clip to the other thread. You all should do this to pre DVT bikes. The difference is night and day. I love the bike soooooo much more and I didn't think I could. Lower RPM's just feel so much nicer now, even the missus comintted.

  11. Hmmmmm credit card twitching even more now, Ff you are a bad man for posting this, encouraging me to spend more money!

  12. Ha ha, sorry bout. One thing I will say is, it's totally worth every penny. Only issue I had with fitting was getting stock can to fit. Had to get a friend to shave 4mm off the decat pipe. I've not heard it being an issue before so I recon I might have had a bad weld on stock exhuast or something. Other than that it was easy. Just make sure you get a new header gasket as makes life a lot easier.
So get ur card out lol
